Rike Park
Rike Park is located on the left bank of the Mtkvari River, near Metekhi. It is one of the most popular public spaces in the city, offering a wide range of leisure activities – from giant chess to musical fountains. The park also hosts numerous cultural events throughout the year, including fairs and concerts held during the annual “Tbilisoba” festival.
Within the park is the lower station of the cable car leading up to Narikala Fortress.
Next to the park stands the Bridge of Peace, designed by Italian architect Michele De Lucchi. Among all bridges in Tbilisi, it is the only one built in the 21st century. Officially opened in 2010, the 150-meter-long bridge is covered with glass panels and, in the evening, lights up with around 50,000 LED bulbs that change colors, creating a spectacular view.
