Algeti National Park

Algeti National Park

If you want to organize ecological, botanical, and adventure tours near Tbilisi, you should visit Algeti National Park, which is located 60 km from
the Georgian capital, in the Tetritskaro municipality. The park covers an area of more than 6,800 hectares and is located at an altitude of 1,100-1,950 m
above sea level. The climate here is humid and cold, so don't forget to bring warm clothes.
There are currently five hiking routes in Algeti National Park, which fall into the easy or medium difficulty categories. One of the most popular of these
is the one-day route along the "Royal Ridge", which also has a comfortable tourist cottage.
Around the park, you can also visit the beautiful canyons of Tsalka (Dashbashi), Birtvisi, and Samshvildi, and the legendary Kldekari Fortress.
On the northeastern border of the park is the Didgori Plain, where on August 12, 1121, under the leadership of the distinguished Georgian king
David the Builder, the most important battle in Georgian history took place.
The Algeti National Park Visitor Center is located in the town of Manglisi. The adventure begins right in the center's courtyard, where you will
find the ecotourism attraction "Rope Park".
