Bateti Lake

Bateti Lake is located in Dzami Gorge, Kareli Municipality, in the region of Shida Kartli, at an altitude of 1,313 meters above sea level. 
The lake is of landslide origin. It is surrounded by hills covered with mixed forest and does not have a wide shore.The water is home to the rarest
species of Asia Minor newt, listed in the Red Book. A stream flows out of the lake. The southern part of the lake is swampy,
where plants grow well and offer a beautiful landscape.
The preferred seasons to visit Bateti The preferred seasons to visit Lake Bateti are are late spring, summer, or early fall. In winter, the lake 
is frozen. Autumn is especially beautiful here, on sunny days, when the forest around the lake is covered in red and yellow colors.
You can't swim in the lake, the shores are inconvenient, the lake is swampy, and it has triton-like inhabitants. As for fishing, it is not worth visiting
the lake for this purpose either, because there are no fish in this lake. In the Dzami Gorge,
the greenest gorge, in addition to Lake Bateti,
you can visit dozens of historical monuments (churches, monasteries, castles, towers)

on the way to the lake.
