
Old Tbilisi
Old Tbilisi — the historical part of the city of Tbilisi, includes those districts and settlements that were called "Tbilisi" until 1936. Old Tbilisi includes the following districts: Abanotubani - Kharpukh (i.e. Tbilisi, later Seydabad), Kala, Isan - Avlabari, Sololaki, Mtatsminda, Vere, Ortachala, Chugureti, Didube, Nadzaladevi.
Accordingly, it is the main center of tourist attraction. This district is distinguished by Abanotubani - sulfur baths that are still operating. As well as churches and museums, Shardeni Street, where popular restaurants, open-air cafe-bars, night clubs, galleries, and more are located. Another main charm of Old Tbilisi is its architecture - old cobblestone streets, wooden carved houses and balconies.
