Lisi Lake

Lisi Lake

Lisi Lake is one of the most beloved recreational areas for Tbilisi residents and visitors to the city, and you can come here any time of the year. Lisi Lake is located at an altitude of 624 meters, which is a few hundred meters higher compared to other districts of Tbilisi. As a result, the air at Lisi is cleaner and healthier – one of the reasons people love this place.

About 100 years ago, when the construction of the recreational zone around the lake began, nearly 1,400 plants of different species were planted to green the area. Today, a 3-kilometer bicycle and walking path is arranged around the lake, as well as an outdoor exercise space. Along the shoreline, there are sports grounds and children’s playgrounds.

On site, it is possible to rent bicycles, boats, and water bikes. There are also open-air cafés and a restaurant near the lake. The place is especially crowded in summer, since it is pleasantly cool. Swimming is also possible – the water warms up to 28°C, and the beach is well arranged.

There are thermal springs around the lake, and a sulfur bathhouse has also been opened on its territory.
On one side, the lake is bordered by a coniferous forest, which is often used for picnics.
